I forgot about the annual fee so now I have to wait till statement

People have reported that it works by amex plat to book the whole ticket and EC seats on the plat.
It's a mishegass of mine that I don't want to show chase the whole picture.

Paging all of you:

I need those $300. Can I book a refundable ticket with any airline and then use my RC CC to buy seat upgrades and then call to get the $300 and then cancel the ticket? Is the seat upgrade also fully refundable?

Reported upthread that by some airlines (I think delta) when you buy refundable tickets the upgrades don't cost anything.

You can either do Jetblue refundable or non refundable
Or delta non-refundable. If doing delta book your flight shortly after midnight an then you'll have 47 hours to cancel it.

got my 300 credits for 2015, AA award taxes and BA YQ/taxes without any problems

Well I booked an award ticket on united from a non- elite account, NYC- BOS , was charged $75 close-in fee, also added economy plus for $29. Then booked return BOS-NYC the same way. The next day I canceled (next calendar day but within 24 hrs). Now here's the thing; the booking charge cleared on my cc a few days later but before the refund cleared on account,called JP Morgan ,got refunded $75+29 per ticket,and next day the refund cleared. Then I did it again. That was in December, and I repeated it again in Jan. Got $600 for paying $395. Thanks JP Morgan!!!

Oh and for 140k + gold status of course
