Update: 6/16/15:
So I smed chase again and got the same response, denying to match to 140k. I then called Chase and got a very nice rep who tried to match it for me but was unsuccessful. It said in her system that they were only matching to 140k credit cards that were applied before April 30th. I applied May 14th. She then gave me 5k Ritz points as a courtesy and told me to try to call Ritz Rewards and ask them to replace my 2 free nights with the equivalent amount of points (probably not 140k). I did just that and the Ritz rep said she cannot do that. Blah blah.....
This really sucks <img src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/tapatalk-emoji/emoji35.png" />

Update: 3/23/15: Many recent reports of successful match to 140k offer via SM
Updated link: https://creditcards.chase.com/credit-cards/ritz-carlton-card.aspx
Standard offer is for 2 free nights at Ritz Cat 1-4 which is not too bad either.

Update 2/9/15: DEAD
current offer  140k bonus points +$300 airline credit annual fee 395 not waived
link https://www.theritzcarltonrewardscard.com/offer140k

To get $300 airline credit call 1-855-896-2222
don't buy gift cards from Chase affiliated airlines (United, SW..)
As Chase may be able to see what you purchased

JetBlue seat upgrades and delta seat upgrades worked for me.
Airline GC are very YMMV as there are reports of chase asking for receipts.
(Seat upgrades are officially covered in the T & C.)

Churning involves making a new RC number? Anything else?

Can you share the message you sent them to be matched?

Yes.

The offer that I signup for was 2 free nights after spending $3,000 in the first 3 months. I heard there was a different offer recently for a signup bonus of 140,000 Ritz Carlton points. Would it be possible to be matched to this offer? Points would work better for me than the free nights.
Something like that.

Mine was before, my wife's was after. Mine took 3 days. That's an interesting thought, that doing it after the spend would make a difference.

Few questions here
I got this in FEB 2015

When will I see next year's AF?

Can I claim $300 credit before the fee comes up?

The $3k you spent to get the bonus points (140k) in first 3 months of card opening counts for $10k spend to get gold status for the following year? Spend $7k to get gold in 2016?

This card gives only 1 devalued marriot point for regular purchases so hate to use this card for any purchases and if you lower your CL to $1k, even harder.

feb or march 2016 statement

yes since its calendar year based so in January

really depends on if you stay there enough to make it worth it

This card gives only 1 devalued marriot point for regular purchases so hate to use this card for any purchases and if you lower your CL to $1k, even harder.

why lower your credit limit just yet? do it after you spend 7k more.

1) Ur AF will probably post around March 1st
2) yes
3) I can't see why 7k wouldn't be sufficient.
