Update: 6/16/15:
So I smed chase again and got the same response, denying to match to 140k. I then called Chase and got a very nice rep who tried to match it for me but was unsuccessful. It said in her system that they were only matching to 140k credit cards that were applied before April 30th. I applied May 14th. She then gave me 5k Ritz points as a courtesy and told me to try to call Ritz Rewards and ask them to replace my 2 free nights with the equivalent amount of points (probably not 140k). I did just that and the Ritz rep said she cannot do that. Blah blah.....
This really sucks <img src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/tapatalk-emoji/emoji35.png" />

Update: 3/23/15: Many recent reports of successful match to 140k offer via SM
Updated link: https://creditcards.chase.com/credit-cards/ritz-carlton-card.aspx
Standard offer is for 2 free nights at Ritz Cat 1-4 which is not too bad either.

Update 2/9/15: DEAD
current offer  140k bonus points +$300 airline credit annual fee 395 not waived
link https://www.theritzcarltonrewardscard.com/offer140k

To get $300 airline credit call 1-855-896-2222
don't buy gift cards from Chase affiliated airlines (United, SW..)
As Chase may be able to see what you purchased

JetBlue seat upgrades and delta seat upgrades worked for me.
Airline GC are very YMMV as there are reports of chase asking for receipts.
(Seat upgrades are officially covered in the T & C.)

I was matched after an offer, applied a week after offer expired, called in 1-2 months afterwards and was matched
Certain offers they "ALWAYS" match ie Marriott, but not for the "3 months rule" that only works the other way around.

Would like to do in my appo today --but

Not clear to me
Are you saying if I apply today for RITZ C 2 nites free and send SM --chase will match to expired 140k offer ?

I am aware that MARRIOTT  50k etc  offers have been matched to 70k etc even if offer was not available to everyone

this is clear---if i applied today for 2 free nite and next week chase came out with 140k would have a  chance to be matched to 140k

If you apply now for the 2 night offer chase "probably" will match you to the 140k offer (as there have been no reports of denial)
They always (afaik) match Marriott,  70k for $2k and 80k for $3k.
If the offer goes back to 140k then as per chase official policy they "will" match you to 140k.
I hope that's not confusing.

Does anyone know if it's possible to combine marriot points from the Chase Marriot card with Ritz Carlton points from the Ritz Card? I'd like to jump in on one of those hotels + miles packages (nights and flights).

I'd love to get Chase to match the 140k offer, but haven't applied for the card yet. Has it been 90 days since the 140k offer expired? And if not, does that mean chase will probably match it?

Can combine them and there have been no reports of people getting denied for a match

Thanks again Emkay! I saw a few people mention "90 days" so I was thinking maybe Chase had some kind of 90-day matching policy... Do you know about this?

I saw a blog post update on 02/11/2015 saying the 140k offer had expired so I was concerned about not getting the match... Not sure what to do right now.
