Update: 6/16/15:
So I smed chase again and got the same response, denying to match to 140k. I then called Chase and got a very nice rep who tried to match it for me but was unsuccessful. It said in her system that they were only matching to 140k credit cards that were applied before April 30th. I applied May 14th. She then gave me 5k Ritz points as a courtesy and told me to try to call Ritz Rewards and ask them to replace my 2 free nights with the equivalent amount of points (probably not 140k). I did just that and the Ritz rep said she cannot do that. Blah blah.....
This really sucks <img src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/tapatalk-emoji/emoji35.png" />

Update: 3/23/15: Many recent reports of successful match to 140k offer via SM
Updated link: https://creditcards.chase.com/credit-cards/ritz-carlton-card.aspx
Standard offer is for 2 free nights at Ritz Cat 1-4 which is not too bad either.

Update 2/9/15: DEAD
current offer  140k bonus points +$300 airline credit annual fee 395 not waived
link https://www.theritzcarltonrewardscard.com/offer140k

To get $300 airline credit call 1-855-896-2222
don't buy gift cards from Chase affiliated airlines (United, SW..)
As Chase may be able to see what you purchased

JetBlue seat upgrades and delta seat upgrades worked for me.
Airline GC are very YMMV as there are reports of chase asking for receipts.
(Seat upgrades are officially covered in the T & C.)

I didn't have any transactions on this card since August of this year. My Last Statement Date was on 08/10/2015  & my  "Next Closing Date is 01/10/2016".

Am I all good to book  the refundable upgrade today to get the annual credit  or  better wait until January, 11th 2016?

My AF is due in March and I think I will be closing this card.

I won't receive credit if I do today?  I am going out of the country in 2 days for few weeks so I thought if I should do it  today.

BTW, Please remind me  what triggers the $300 credit? I did it in FEB for this year  and don't remember how I did the jetblue thing.

The annual credit is $300 right? In what amount the flight purchase has to be? or it  is upgrade only?

Thanks

Yes. Blue Flex=refundable
From their website: ETA: Sorry, it actually seems like Blue Flex is refundable no matter what, but there are also refundable tickets that are Blue or Blue Plus.
Purchased Blue flex ticket and in email confirmation it states this "NONREF - NO FEE FOR CHG/CX"

If I cancel b4 24 hours will the charge still show up Because now I'm nervous to wait more then the allowable 24 hour

Do i still stand a chance to get 2015 credit if i apply tonight? or does it take longer to actually open the account (like BA)?
Just got approved, any shot of getting it in time?

The y put in the request to expedite, they said doubtful it will happen because it is a partner card.

I think others mentioned that blue flex nonrefundable gets you a travel credit on jet blue. If so, cancel before 24 hours

Correct. Needs to be a refundable fare for cash refund.

Definetly cancel and redo. I got screwed with that and ended up getting a travel credit with a cancellation fee.

Ok, I will redo but is there a way to tell which blue flex are refundable before I purchase so I doesn't happen again? and how long  should I hold ticket before I cancel?

It clearly says "refundable" or "non-refundable".

You're confusing blue flex with refundable. Refundable tickets clearly say refundable in the ticket type. If it doesn't say the word refundable, it won't be eligible for a cash refund.

Genius :( for some reason I checked like 10 times to with out realizing that there is an option right there "refundable"… I guess thats what happens when you always automatically go to purchase cheapest tickets!

Has anyone had luck having their Ritz 1-4 certs exchanged for the 140K in points?
