Update: 6/16/15:
So I smed chase again and got the same response, denying to match to 140k. I then called Chase and got a very nice rep who tried to match it for me but was unsuccessful. It said in her system that they were only matching to 140k credit cards that were applied before April 30th. I applied May 14th. She then gave me 5k Ritz points as a courtesy and told me to try to call Ritz Rewards and ask them to replace my 2 free nights with the equivalent amount of points (probably not 140k). I did just that and the Ritz rep said she cannot do that. Blah blah.....
This really sucks <img src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/tapatalk-emoji/emoji35.png" />

Update: 3/23/15: Many recent reports of successful match to 140k offer via SM
Updated link: https://creditcards.chase.com/credit-cards/ritz-carlton-card.aspx
Standard offer is for 2 free nights at Ritz Cat 1-4 which is not too bad either.

Update 2/9/15: DEAD
current offer  140k bonus points +$300 airline credit annual fee 395 not waived
link https://www.theritzcarltonrewardscard.com/offer140k

To get $300 airline credit call 1-855-896-2222
don't buy gift cards from Chase affiliated airlines (United, SW..)
As Chase may be able to see what you purchased

JetBlue seat upgrades and delta seat upgrades worked for me.
Airline GC are very YMMV as there are reports of chase asking for receipts.
(Seat upgrades are officially covered in the T & C.)

Does the $33 charge have to be posted for chase to refund?

And if it posts in '15 but they credit it in ''16 does that count for '15's credit or 16's?

I'm assuming you meant $300.
It needs to post, to get the refund.
Life is as good as you make it...

Is the annual credit you get is $200 or $300? Just book a refundable JetBlue air fare worth $200 or $300$  if it has to be airfare upgrade purchase, just pay for an upgrade that costs more than $200 or &300$  thanks

the post says $200 credit so bit confused about the amount. So to get the  $300 credit, I buy JetBlue refundable airfare with another card and than buy the upgrade of that ticket with this card?  I have to spend $300 or more in upgrade to get the $300 credit?   Buy the $300 upgrade at once or in smaller amounts totaling $300 or more?

I tried booking Chicago to jfk refundable fare on JetBlue  website. All it shows is options to choose blue plus blue flex and then pay but not showing upgrade option. How do you buy the $300  refundable upgrade?

tried round trip jet blue refundable domestic trip but at the check out it shows options for EVEN MORE SPEED for $ 10. Doesn't show even more space option. I need to buy even more space right? How much in Even more space  purchase has  to be ? Has to be $300 or more to receive the $300 credit?  Does it give you option to pay the fare and even more space option separately? My credit line with the ritz chase card is low.

I've had it happen even before statement closed.
Latest when that statement closes.
You'll get an email saying such.
