Update: 6/16/15:
So I smed chase again and got the same response, denying to match to 140k. I then called Chase and got a very nice rep who tried to match it for me but was unsuccessful. It said in her system that they were only matching to 140k credit cards that were applied before April 30th. I applied May 14th. She then gave me 5k Ritz points as a courtesy and told me to try to call Ritz Rewards and ask them to replace my 2 free nights with the equivalent amount of points (probably not 140k). I did just that and the Ritz rep said she cannot do that. Blah blah.....
This really sucks <img src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/tapatalk-emoji/emoji35.png" />

Update: 3/23/15: Many recent reports of successful match to 140k offer via SM
Updated link: https://creditcards.chase.com/credit-cards/ritz-carlton-card.aspx
Standard offer is for 2 free nights at Ritz Cat 1-4 which is not too bad either.

Update 2/9/15: DEAD
current offer  140k bonus points +$300 airline credit annual fee 395 not waived
link https://www.theritzcarltonrewardscard.com/offer140k

To get $300 airline credit call 1-855-896-2222
don't buy gift cards from Chase affiliated airlines (United, SW..)
As Chase may be able to see what you purchased

JetBlue seat upgrades and delta seat upgrades worked for me.
Airline GC are very YMMV as there are reports of chase asking for receipts.
(Seat upgrades are officially covered in the T & C.)

I booked a Jet Blue BluFlex refundable ticket to get the travel credit, and they refunded it to a travel bank claiming that it was not the refundable!!
Hence
Selling a $2,465.60 JetBlue travel credit for $2300 or best offer.
It's good for a whole year.
Anyone any experience getting this reversed?
Thanks!

Is it possible that you accidentally requested the refund to travel bank rather than to original form of CC? I could easily see someone making that mistake.

IIRC there was no choice, but it's possible.

Blue flex is refundable to travel bank. Refundable is refundable. Look at your email confirmation. If it doesn't say refundable by the payment details, the wrong fare was booked.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Ouch! Should I try begging them to overturn this or no use?

Yes. All it takes is a good sob story and a sympathetic rep.

I lowered my credit card limit in 2015, I was not charged annual fee in 2016.
Annual fee was posted for 2017 yesterday. Did anyone have the same experience?

The 25% credit line to annual fee ration rule is only for 1st year.

So we should book blue plus, not blue flex? Where does it say blue flex returns to travel bank? I bought blue flex last year and it worked. Did it change this year?

Read the fare rules. If it doesn't say refundable it's not. Period.

Enough questions on this topic. Let's use our judgement.

It seems there is different refundable. Some returns to the travel bank, some returns to original payment. So refundable doesn't seem to be the only factor.

It has been done. Perhaps pay someone who is good on the phone with these things 10% or something if they can pull it off.
