I cant answer with 100% certainty about discover but I was added to my dads 15 year old chase card and my credit shows as having the card since 2001

I didn't realize Chase changed it as well. I thought it was only Amex.

How fast do AUs get reported to the CB? I just need 3 AU on my platinum for GE benefit, so just get the cards apply and then can close

They will get reported even if you close the next day IINM
