Any reports of clawback once the AU's are automatically closed?

Just got 5,000 MR for 500 spend on 4 UA's

I've got this on same card twice, wondering if I leave the first au on for a year is it safer

someone told me that  he is  an au on his fathers amex platnum, and he gave his  social to open the card  and now the whole credit line on his fathers account is reporting to  his credit because  he is 19 and only has one other credit card and  his credit is now  the mid 600s because  of it,  is there a way for him to have the benefit of  building  up his credit by being an au on his fathers account without damaging his credit utilization?

If the father doesn't post with a high balance he should be good.
