I'm looking to give a family member a AU, I currently have personal chase cards and BOFA cards, which would better help the person build his credit?

I know in my experience when adding AU's on my chase card they didn't ask for SSN while BOFA did, is there anything else to take into account?

If you add an AU on a Chase personal card it will backdate his history to when you opened the card so should work to improve his credit assuming your payment history is excellent. I don’t know about BOFA.

There are numerous pieces of information they use to match the person up. SS# is not needed.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Works with family members. But other people not related to you Chase might not report the AU. So it’s better to use others who let you add the SSN# like Citi, discover, and C1. Not sure about BOA

If the credit card company reports to the CRA the SS# will most likely not matter.

In my experience there may be benefits to adding ssn without going into all scenarios even banks who don’t ask for it, you can deff request to add it.

On a personal CC with authorized users, is there any way to see which user made the charge?

Wondering in general, currently using BoA, but I would switch to be able to see who made what charge.
