What's the point of adding multiple au's though if they're fake? I know that adding someone could help their credit report, but how does adding fake people or yourself benefit you?

Even though I used my name and social my Au's all say member since 15 while my primary cards say member since 12 (though that's also wrong, I opened my first amex in 2014, but in 2012 somebody from the yeshiva office opened an au in my name without my permission)

If I were to put 99 Au's in my name but be able to prove my income in a fr, would that still be a bad idea? (Putting aside the possibility of the Au's hitting my cr)

If you don't mind the hassle of a FR and don't mind if you have the card multiple times on your CR, there's nothing to lose by adding yourself.

The thing is I added 10 Au's in my own name last week, after that I found out that it can hit the CR, my credit history is 2 years long I'm not sure if I should a) cancel all my Au's and cross my fingers and hope that it doesn't hit my cr b) leave them and just don't open any more in my own name c) open another 150 Au's and just let my credit length fix itself over time.

I keep on having this issue when applying for new cards. They say i have 20 new accounts in the past six months. It takes ten minutes but i explained that the are not new lines of credit and they re-evaluate and approve the app. :-)
If anyone can add the solution to this problem to the wiki...

Happens to me with Amex, but It never takes me 10 minutes. i just tell them what that is, and they move on.
