I'm in middle of one of the most idiotic conversations with an Amex chat rep.
I downgraded a business platinum card recently to the green card. The AU's were added to the plat on 4/18 and were turned into no AF green cards when i made the change. I now see that i only received a partial refund on the AU cards. The rep is telling me
In case of product change since card remains active on the account with previous card, prorated fee is only refunded.
Though when i asked if i cancelled the cards now since it was within 60 days would i get a full refund, they said yes. But somehow downgrading to a no AF card causes me to lose part of the refund.
I'm going crazy.
