yes, they claimed that au's are not subject to the 60 day rule, I escalated it & only got back $275

If it doesn't show up on your credit report its fine. However people have been seeing it show up recently. I don't think anyone knows yet whether or not it can really affect your (or someone else's) credit to be an au lots of times over
I know.

Citi denied me the Premier card last month because i have an account reporting 5 times (I had 5 au's in my name)

I called up to make sure the refund was coming through on one of my au's because I didn't see a 300 dollar credit. The rep put me on hold and told me she manually credited the 450 back.... I wasn't asking any questions so I said thank you and hung up.
I called back to make sure my primary hadn't been downgraded. What are the chances that I get the 450?

Does anyone know if it's for sure ok to add aus w/o ssn or is there a chance of that showing up on credit report?

It is possible that they can match the AU to someone, but less likely.

People have been reporting that they've been matching it even without providing ssn.

When au is in their own name or even others?

Own name & IIRC someone reported with other names as well, but that's not the norm.

I have done that in the past.

My wife does not have a ssn.  I have been unable to create an account online.  I have been able to by calling in and explaining the situation.  Since she doesn;'t have a ssn, she needs a separate account for each card.

You can but sometimes they won't allow you to verify account online and you'll need to call. Then, depending on the rep, you can create an account in a few minutes. I've set up multiple accounts in one phone call. Some reps won't allow it w/o speaking to the au & some will. Ymmv

I just spoke to an Amex rep who said you're not allowed to add additional users if their name is already on the account. ROFL. Didn't even bother. Just huca'd
