Called amex to add an au (legit- social and dob given) and the rep puts me on hold and comes back to tell me it's pending and I'll get a letter in a few days with the results. Anyone ever experienced this?

Unless that person has bad credit & you added him/her with their ssn it will go through. You'll get the card in the mail. No worries

if some AU's work the others will too if its under the same account. However IME you dont need to activate the cards
