I remember reading there's a max number of AU I can sign up for online before having to call in. Was that number 3? I already have 3 AU for each of my cards and would like to add more but I would like to avoid calling.
For amex you can add 5 online then do it immediately again and again

Depends on the card...
I have cards that are 5, 4 & 3 at a time.
I only paid 15% by switching to dansdeals

Sorry to ask what is probably a stupid question but I couldn't find it in the Wiki or search.

added 2 AU to my Amex but I made up birthdays since I used my kids names. Is that an issue? Do I need to save the birth-dates I used for later?

Meaning I made up dates when I spoke to the rep on the phone. I wrote it down. Would it ever come to a point where Amex asked me for that info later that I would need to know if offhand?

Ok, anyway I can get in trouble for this? I assume others do this when adding AU's?

It does seem to be common practice for many but that people have to ask if that could be an issue does boggle my mind at times.

On that note, I did not realize its a bigger issue. I thought this was common practice. Should I call up and cancel the request or just leave it alone?

I don't think you need to worry about getting in trouble for it. That being said, it would be better to just add more au's in the same names than use different names and make up bdays

Sorry, but I don't have time to read through the whole thread and wiki doesn't have much information.
If I add AUs over the phone do I need to add a SSN to activate the card or no SSN is ever required?

You could use it without activating it but you're probably gonna have issues trying to add it to an online account.

So you must add a SSN to activate?

Or PUTPAC. Phone reps will usually allow you to do it without ssn. I think someone reported success via chat as well

Aha, when I called to get the AU cards yesterday, I was told the "employees" would need to provide SSN and DOB when activating
