I was able to add my parents to my SPG business card with just DOB and activate them on the phone. But when I tried to create unique online access for each card, AMEX wouldn't let me do it online and I had to call in. They asked pretty specific questions like which address they're associated with, etc.
To you guys who added AU to business cards, were you able create online access without calling in?

You need to have all information added to get that done lately.

If business cards don't show up on your credit report, why are you nervous about giving over your information?

Just got an email from Amex saying that they are "missing SSNs for a number of my business card AUs." Do I risk problems by not giving them, or can i just ignore it?

If you want to get the card added online, seems you will need it. If you just want the card, ignore it.

Right. They just went overseas on vacation. I didn't think this would be an issue since I figured AU cards can be used right away... didn't know I needed that info to create an online account.

You don't need it. You just got to huca, and some rep. will do it for you. I've done it multiple times over the past few weeks. Some HUCA works right away, some I got to work harder for it.
Life is as good as you make it...

New to the AU world, but trying to get prepared for a big SBS. I had a few questions if anyone can help.

1) online it allowed me to order multiple AU cards in the same name. Is there any downside to this?
2) Can I add AU's without them knowing and agreeing, and/or if they dont exist? If you dont need a social how do they verify a birthday anyways.
3)  If I have cards for me and my wife can we be AU's on each others cards?
4) Does being an AU really hurt someone's credit score. How do they even know who it really is if there is no need for a  SSN?
5) Can you really get 99 AMEX cards for every card?

Thats it for now. Thank you.

New to the AU world, but trying to get prepared for a big SBS. I had a few questions if anyone can help.

1) online it allowed me to order multiple AU cards in the same name. Is there any downside to this? No. You will likely have it show on your CR multiple times though.
2) Can I add AU's without them knowing and agreeing, and/or if they dont exist? If you dont need a social how do they verify a birthday anyways.  You can add without DOB and SSN. Who you add is your prerogative.
3)  If I have cards for me and my wife can we be AU's on each others cards? Yes.
4) Does being an AU really hurt someone's credit score. How do they even know who it really is if there is no need for a  SSN? It could actually make ones score better if the AH has good history.
5) Can you really get 99 AMEX cards for every card? Not all cards allow 99. Could trigger FR if you add that much.

Thats it for now. Thank you.
