Just create an account and use the AU card as the main card for the account
Memories last forever, make them while you can.

When I do that it says that this card is already registered (because it was automatically added as part of the main account).
Do I delete the entire main account, and then make an account for the Au first, and after that make an account for the main owner?

Glad I could help, was a huge pain for me too until I realized that.
Is it like that for all AUs or only business. I've been having an issue that all business AUs have to be in their own logins.

Have you tried adding the the main card to the login first and then adding the AU's?

You can have amex remove the AU from the original account and then create a new login for the AU.

from amex "The Additional Card Member's Social Security Number and Date of Birth are not required to submit this request. However, this information must be provided by you or the Additional Card Member within 60 days after the Card is issued, or the Additional Card will be canceled."

this true?

From my experience, AU accounts without social are easier to add as separate logins.  It asks for the social if you try adding to your existing login, and the CSRs don't really know how to handle it.

Just started getting back into adding aus. What happened to the good old days of adding 30 or more a day? Now I'm getting letters I have the maximum I can be approved for at this time.
And no, I don't have 99

I don't think having authorized users will affect your credit score.

Can you confirm this is true even if AU has lower credit score?
