AU without SS# are not affected and most places besides Amex don't request the AUs SS# CMIIW.

You can get the card initially without the SS#, but they will ask you to send the information in.

Who else?
You're wrong about the first half of your statement. Scroll back a bit and read.

How could you get affected if they don't have your SS#?

IME I called Amex a couple of times and wasnt able to get AU's added without SSN's.
Can anyone explain the pro(s) and con(s) of them having vs not having the AU's SSN?

Never happened to me. Did you say you don't currently have it and will sent it in when you get it?

Pros of submitting SS#:
1. More likely to affect said AUs credit.
2. No annoying letters to submit the missing info.

Pros of not submitting SS#:
You could make as many fictitious AUs as you wish (FR risk aside).

Has always worked for me (unless there was a very recent policy change).

Yes
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Added 2 AU's for 2 different accounts on wife's account. Total of 4 cards, 2 for 2 different names.  Didin't give SS#.  As these were newer accounts, there wasn't much history on each account.  Amex said they'd get back to me within 5-7 days with cards or "request for more info".  When I've added AU's to my account (With extensive history) in the past, it was instant, here it looks like they weren't added.  Anyone know what's going on and how I can get them to be added quickly to account?

Want to get them in for Amazon twitter sync offer....

TIA!
