When I called chase recon this week they gave me a hard time about all the cards I have opened. This included the my wife' scares that I was just an au on. Is this new? Normal? Would I be better off in the long run not adding myself?

Interesting! My wife's Citicard had a fraud alert because I was the one doing all the spending. I thought it was strange since we have the same number. Now I know.

you could also have had her build up credit by opening store cards- Gap, Macy's which are easier to get And spend and payoff.

if I add my newborn as an AU is it going to show up on his CR? or you first need to have a CR for him. if not how do I generate him a CR?

I was an AU on amex on a siblings card, and closed my card 2 weeks ago. Today my CreditKarma score dropped 38 points (does not say why). Is it because of closing the card? Does only the FAKO score drop or also the FICO? Also will reopening make a difference?

I have been spending the past 3/4 hours on the phone with all the bureaus (except ex) cap1 and so on.

It seems like i am an AU on someone account since 02. I had no idea until now. I got a credit karma email and i decided to look at it this time. It seems like i have a running balance for almost 7 yrs though the minimum payment has been paid, every month except one month in 2012, (the latest the bureaus can see is since 2011) i first called up Cap1 and they had no idea what i was talking about bec i am not in there system. then i filed for annual credit report but i only go TU. so i called them and explained how i have no idea what this is. they said its an AU, they said they will shut down the account. then i called ex which is a disaster bec everything is automated, and i tried paying the 11.50 for the credit report but it didnt go thru. then i spoke to EQ who said they too will take it off my account.

the question uis does this affect my score. someone using my name as an AU having a running balance but paying off min due.

Just log onto the bureaus and initiate a dispute. Write "this is not my account, please immediately send me full verification or delete from my report". It should be gone in no time.

i cant log into EX bec my social has been flagged.

I have a fraud issue with one of my TD cc's that i havent used in 2 yrs (one month it was used for 1$) and now i have a 120 day late payment.

If I add someone (real person) with a very generic name like "Avrohom Cohen" as an authorized user to my chase card without DOB or SSN how can they ever find who's CR to put it on?
