I want to be an au specifically on her amex cards, I am already on her chase and need to help her meet spending thresholds and we will be able to do it if we both have cards

Try using your middle name? not your first? Don't give the ss# when getting the card ('I don't have it now).

Wiki implies that adding authorized user right after getting a new card results in a hard pull on primary member??

read wiki again.

I did but not clear.  It reads if its a new card, authorized user does not get a hard pull.  To me that means primary card holder does get a pull?

It goes on to read that if card is not new then neither primary nor authorized user gets a hard pull; implying that in previous statement (ie a new card) primary card holder does get a hard pull.

Don't know what he was trying to add in the wiki, but adding an AU doesn't result in a hard pull for either the primary or AU.
Although if you add lots of AU's it may result in a F/R.

Thanks for the PM, haven't read this thread since I updated the wiki. When I said that when you are opening a new card, the AU doesn't get a hard pull, I meant that the primary obviously does get one because it's their new cc app! I will update the wiki to make it a bit more clear. You should also feel free to clarify wikis that you don't think are clear. I feel like most people are scared to change wikis, but if it's not clear or accurate, it doesn't help anyone.

ETA: Just updated it. Hope it's easier to understand.

I added my little (just turned 18) brother to my chase SP. He has zero credit. Will he be building credit by using my cc? Chase didn't ask for his SSN. How can he be building credit without the ssn?! I spoke with a "Credit Bureau Specialist" that said they would somehow link him to me. However, not sure she knew what the hell she was talkin' about.

They have other ways of figuring out who he is besides from his social.

Even without giving his social, they will still find him and link your activity to him.

Sometimes they link to the wrong person. This happens a lot with JR getting linked to SR.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

That's interesting. I guess if there are two people with the same name associated with the same address, they have no way of knowing which one the card is for without the social.

Got PRG for my wife with an AU for myself. Cards have different numbers is that normal? It also says my wife is a member since '13 (true) and that I'm a member since '14 (untrue).

Yes it's normal and always on AUs I find they write the date of when you order the AUs card.

Does anyone know if Amex actually checks the SS, DOB and name of the AU?

If I want to add 20 AU to a card and make up random names like John Doe, Jane Doe etc.. and then put in random DOB and SS numbers, will Amex verify this? Is this a FR risk?

It obviously SOUNDS risky, but IF Amex doesn't verify the details anyway, I don't see why this should be a problem...
