Have they used the all the cards?
Nope, but they are showing up on the list of cards on the website. Don't see how it would be an issue. I can test it over the next few days.

Are there any potential negative ramifications (long term or otherwise) to being an AU on someone's card?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

If the utilization is high or if it is not paid on time, it does not look good on the AU's credit report.

Right. Anything else? Assuming the account holder knows what they're doing, is there any other potential issue?
Would it affect the AU negatively to close the account (after some time), because now his credit utilization will go down?

FTFY.  I don't think so.  I would think it looks at the account holders use ratio (%) without combining it with the AUs.

If the primary user gets blaklisted it could also extend to the AU's. I only bring this up because of what is going on with Amex BC.

Utilization on a biz card doesn't count even for the account holder. So certainly not for the AU.

Be careful because some business cards do report to the CRA's.

Dunno if this was discussed but allot of credit cards if you add a spouse as an AU during the application process they will stay an AU for life and can't take them off. I learn this the hard way! ( i didn't even give them the social, it went on my credit report just based on name an address!)

You can still apply for that card in your name and get the bonus.  It's only a problem for you if the card is misused in terms of good credit practices.

Instead of calling Amex and adding made up Authorized Users to my cards and not giving SS numbers can I just make myself an AU on my cards multiple times over, online?

I accidentally added someone twice to one account online. It went through without any problem, but I imagine it is probably a FR risk, right?

Is this not known to be associated with in teasing risk of F/R?
If so, it's the ticket I've been looking for...

Yup. Happens for every app, and I always get within 3-5 business days. (including when I added myself as an AU to my own card. For multiple cards. Multiple times. In the same "set" of AU apps.

Good to know. This is the 1st pending I got. The others all said "thank you for your order. The following AU's will arrive..."
