As far as my experience just went, serve subaccount cards could not be registered for SBS until they were activated.
Worked fine once activated.

Remember, when activating serve sub account cards you must sign in with the email address assigned to the sub account not the main account. You can't activate subs count when signed in to main account.
just learned all this the hard way.
Is it just me or are all recent apps for au's "pending verification"?

See up thread.
I just asked the same thing last night. Several people responded they've received cards without issues after the "pending verification" message.

Affirmative, this has been the case. All my cards that got that message arrived with no issues.

I just dug down into my Experian Report, and for open Amex cards, I am an AU on 8 cards.  On my wife's Amex account, I am an AU on 2 personal and 3 business cards. On my Amex account I am an AU on 2 personal and 3 business, although the AU on 1 personal is from a few days ago. Regardless of how it works, I am an AU more than 1 time and more than 1 card, but it is not showing up a crazy amount of times. So it might show on your report, but not more than 1x per card account.

Thanks for the data point. I'll check my report later too.

Were they real email addresses / variations of a gmail account or just fabricated out of the blue?

If they are variations of a gmail address the main address should have relieved ails saying that a sun account has been opened for you, and at the top of the email you should be able to see the variation of the address it was sent to.

They are really Gmail with a period in between. So I added money to subaccounts and that generated an email which allowed me to login and activate.

Looking for compelling arguments to convince an under-18 relative to let me add her to my amex cards. Any bright ideas?

I'm setting up secondary online accounts for AU cards I just made l'chovod SBS, and when I entered the card # and CCV for one of the cards it says "we're sorry we are unable to activate your card at this time. Please call the 1800 # referenced on the sticker on the front of your card for activation".

I made two cards in my name and two in my wife's name on each account.

Anything to be concerned about?

Only serve & bluebird au's need to be activated. (If you wanna be real safe try swiping it before SBS.)

Just want to confirm that the inability to activate online is not a cause for concern. Never had it before.

Had it several times. Sometimes when I would call it would say its already been activated.

What is the expiration dates everyone is getting for new amex cards added this month?
If everyone is getting the same date then it would make it a lot easier to use before actually receiving the card.
