Is it just me or are more cops catching people with timing and not using radar detectors that often?
You may not hold me responsible for any actions taken that were recommended from my account or username.

I don't know, but every time I pass one on the highway they are always using KA or laser...    Isn't convicting based on timing much harder?

IME K band is ALWAYS false alarm. KA band is most of the times accurate. Though I never get alerts for laser. What type of code is used for laser?

IME k band is USUALLY false but not always, ka is almost always a cop, laser comes up as laser alert but its not as common as radar and since there are no scattered rays you will almost never detect it unless the cop is clocking you at which point its already too late

K a band is used on old radar guns, that's why you don't really see it. In ny/nj the cops all shoot ka and the ones that are shooting laser bought their own expensive equipment. I rarely see laser on the GSP  -though its irrelevant, laser the second you detect it they already have your speed.

Just join hatzolah. Have a friend who for sure saved money due to his lack of getting tickets.
(As a side point I also almost missed shabbos (would have still been driving) but we pretended to give an escort to an officer and drove right thru all the traffic, and got a thank you wave from hime whem we sped past the accident)
I'm not who you think I am.

from a cop?
Yes. Never on a highway but I saw it in Lakewood and in colts neck (on my way to court for a speeding ticket)

I sometimes see it on those permanent signs that show you your speed, but never from an actual cop. I guess lakewood uses some old equipment. Though many of lakewood cops definitely shoot KA.
