Nothing unusual. Anyone who rented a car (especially with me in it) knows never to buy an ex-rental car.

If you know that prices aren't good that something else.

40% off new car prices, or comparable used car purchased elsewhere? The 3 year warranty on a rental car is big, but I wonder if it'll cover engine and/or transmission...

black? I don't think I saw 1 black car in my 2 &half years in Israel! Try white Mazda 3 or Subaru Impreza >:D

Nah, its been that way since 1947  8) Apparently it has to do with the strong Israeli sun. Black absorbs a lot more sunlight then white therefore it gets a lot hotter.

At least they have all other colors now, when I was a kid I remember nearly all the cars in Israel were white.

yup my biggest worry when renting in Israel was getting a white Hyundai Getz:-X

All cars in Israel come standard in white and considering the taxes Israeli's pay for cars, I don't think they want to pay even more for color.
