AMEX Reconsideration

Can potentially have a 150k offer and i subtracted the 25k that you would get from this, meaning giving up 125k, if you have a 100k offer you are giving up 75k...that's my thinking

I haven't heard of a 150k offer on the personal Platinum, the max I heard is 100k. Do you know that there's such an offer?
Again, not to be mixing up with the business Platinum.

It seems to me that Amex Recon has no power to approve an App as all they tell me is, "We will send it for further review to another department". I must be missing something. please enlighten me....

Yes, I ran into the same thing; so these accounts of even having a dialogue related to approval baffle me. I HUCA'd 4x- always got someone in the Philippines who had zero power to do anything. I was even told they do not do the review, another department does over the coming days. Same answer each call. I have been in this game a long time and I'm fairly good at the social engineering side of it. But when you ask for a manager and get the same story 'we don't do the reviews. and, no, there is no way for me to connect you to that department. sorry'- not much to engineer!

No. 4 is limit within each class (credit/charge).

There are also exceptions where they will allow more than four, YMMV.

Boich svoro from a n00b:  Try calling CS on an existing card getting a super and seeing if they can transfer you to someone who can help.

Called regular CS, and didn't help. They said that nobody in the company can reverse the fate of an applicaition, besides for the review committee. I resubmitted my apps for 3rd time. I hope the 3rd is the charm. I tell them not to pull again when reviewing. There needs to be something I am missing. Please enlighten me as I want those 300K points.

Sometimes there is nothing you can do but try again down the road in the future if you get denied.

Are you sure you didn't get 3 pulls for submitting your apps 3 different times?

I told them to put a notation in the app that if the review department needs to pull again, they shouldn't review. I will check my FICO soon. Worst case scenario, it will be 3 pulls. i don't plan any apps for at least 3 months. I am still very conservative and young

ETA: When you say "try again down the road", you mean apply again in like 3 months afte rmy credit history has like 70 years added to it?

DDF'ers hate taking no as an nswer. lets see what happens

When I was starting out to the DDF game and had young credit, I had my fair share of denials. I just re-applied 3-6 months down the road.

i applied for 3 cards yesterday.i got instant approval for two of them.  the third app is on hold for 5 days due to my other 2 apps.  anyone have this before? i spoke to 2 reps and both told me its on hold and i must wait five days.  also, will there be another credit pull in five days?
