Hyatt Award Nights Upgrade?

I signed up for the Hyatt Chase credit card and received my two free nights.  I currently have a Garden-view room booked at the Grand Hyatt Kuaia in July.  Does anyone have any tips on how I may get an upgrade to a better room or even a suite?

I was a Platinum member before signing up so I received the two free suite upgrades, but those are only for paid stays so I cannot use them on my award nights.  I already told them it is a birthday trip for my wife, which it is, but I doubt that is going to get me anywhere.

Staying for 4 nights.  My wife also signed up for the credit card and we are using her award nights as well.  Sorry, forgot to include that part.

Won't work officially but try and email and ask if you can use your suite upgrades. Worked for me in Zurich but not Paris or London

The hotel concierge? Best if you can get the booking manager

So tried with the telephone representative, and emailed the booking manager but no go.

Maybe one last try with the concierge, but not expecting anything.

Oh well, four nights for free in any room in Kauia are pretty damn good in its own right.
