Hope this is the right thread, does anyone have experience with Uber in Berlin? I have a stopover for 14 hrs, with my wife and infant and am taking a hotel (Hotel Am Steinplatz Marriott) for the day, but would like to sight see too. What is the best mode of transportation?

I have a 5 hour stopover this summer in TXL from 805 am until 1 pm with an infant. Do you think that's enough time to check out the sights quickly?  What do you suggest?

S-Bahn, U-Bahn, bus. Get a day ticket for the family.

We (large group of 15/20 "Bochurim") did it (iirc) in 2 hours or so, though we missed one part which was already closed when we arrived.

Nothing kosher there now. There was an amazing place (Die Kurve) a couple of years ago, but it's no longer kosher (just 'kosher style' but trief).
It's nice enough to wonder in the old town for a couple of hours, have a beer (kids welcome also). Very easy to get into city by U-Bahn subway (or cab if you insist..)

I understand from the post earlier this year that there's nothing kosher in Dusseldorf.  Sounds like it's a nice place to wander around the old town and have a beer. I am planning a connection in DUS. Is it worth intentionally scheduling a ~6-hour layover to visit the town? Anything special to do/see/visit?

Hi. Is there any kosher place where to stay and eat shabbos in Nuremberg or in the area?

I have a 4:20 layover in TXL on an Air Berlin flight from TLV to JFK. I'm scheduled to arrive at 8:40. Sof zman krias shma is about an hour later. I know there's no chance of a minyan in a shul at that time, but I'm looking for recommendations on where to daven.

Re: Germany Master Thread - 1 hour 10 minute stopover
« Reply #56 on: November 08, 2016, 04:35:35 PM »
Hi,
Flying with award mileage on one ticket from NY to EY via London and TXL (Berlin Tegel airport). Problem is that the TXL stopover is for 1 hour and 10 minutes. arriving 9:30pm, flight out is 10:40pm and that is the latest flight out to TLV. Is that enough time or is it too risky?? why would AA have that itinerary if the times are so short? Is that an indication that I will be fine?

Thanks.

Thank you!
I reached out to the Shaliach there, he suggested ordering food from one of the locals in Wolfsburg. I am a bit uncomfortable doing that....

Thanks!!!
