General Question about traveling in Europe:

Does anyone have any experience staying in hostels and davening shacharit in the morning with Tefillin? I'm just curious if there are any "best practices" or what to expect.

Thanks

What cities in Europe are doable and kids ages 3-8 will enjoy?
I'm thinking of doing a kosher program in the Alps and then visit another city or two
Any ideas?
Was thinking about Venice but would like to get some more ideas

Anyone did any Europe trips with kids in the summer?
Any itineraries and cities to visit that's worthwhile looking into doing with kids?

Your kids don't want to see European cities. They want to go to the park, bounce place and the pool.
Just spent two days in Paris with my kids. One day in Disneyland and one day went to Eiffel tower and Arc de triumph. My kids are into this stuff, but maybe we could have done one more day, maybe.
I would look for a place with a pool and be content with spending half day with by the pool and then choosing one activity
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

Going to be tough keeping kosher in Europe now...https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-03-27/plastic-plates-cutlery-cups-to-be-banned-in-europe-as-of-2021
There will be a dozen other biodegradable options available then.

I want to do a trip to London in a few weeks (end of May). I want to be in Europe for about 7 nights total, and will have a 20 month old.

Is 7 nights too much to spend in London?  If so, what's another city that has things worth doing and is a short flight or train away? DW vetoed Paris, and I am looking to avoid the Netherlands and Italy as I've spent time there before. Kosher food would be helpful and toddler appropriate activities would be nice (she will sit in a stroller, but long hikes are probably not so helpful). I'm thinking of spending 2 nights somewhere and then go to London for about 5 days (including Shabbos).

I was thinking about Dublin/Edinburgh or Lisbon, but Kosher food seems tough in those places. Flights to Prague seem much more expensive, as I want direct flights throughout (coming from NYC).

ETA: The places I mentioned are just the places I've look at so far, so I am absolutely open to ideas of places I haven't thought about,

I enjoyed Edinburgh. The 'Royal Mile' would probably stimulate your toddler, and he can get out an walk along with you. There's kosher stuff in the supermarket (like cheese, knishes - I don't remember exactly what) to eat room temp or microwaved. (The shliach Rabbi Pinny guided us to it.)
My favorite cause: cssy.org

At this point it would be a day trip/overnight from London. I think it's between DUB or EDI. Food is a non-issue, as I can just bring a couple of things from London.
