Head of the program told me last time:
-They don't believe in bonuses but rather in offering strong partners year-round.
-They're always looking for new partners, but it's tough due to exclusivity contracts.
-Do you mean the 15K for $30K bonus on the PRG? UAE has that as did the old IB.
AmEx can make the argument that they, too, have strong partners, yet they offer bonuses. Let's not kid ourselves... this isn't about delivering value to us. It's about continuing to wail on AmEx.
I'd specifically mention trying to make the play for AS, as opposed to AA (which are evidently inextricably linked to Citi).
Who spends on the UAE? Adding that sort of bonus to their stalwart, the SP, would make it even more attractive...
