No problem, I wasn't serious about being insulted.
As for tonight, the story is that I don't have any Israeli stamps in my passport (I think they don't give them any more) rather I have a full two page Israeli student visa, and there is no chance that anyone would miss it. So since that is the case, it is always a little suspenseful when I hand over my passport to immigration at one of these countries, because i'm not sure what they'll make of it. So it was no different this time when I handed over my passport and visa application paper to the Bahraini Immigration agent tonight, and he told me to wait while he took them to a side office to review and process the visa.
I waiting in suspense for a couple of minutes, knowing he would be noticing my Israeli visa. I never would have imagined what was going to happen though, when he returned.
After a couple of minutes, the officer returned with my passport and visa, handed them to me, and with a smile said, "Shalom."
I swear I was never more shocked in my life.
