If you couldn't read the title and decided to just click it.

For easy reference, here’s Wikipedia’s list of airport codes. The list is too long for one article, so you have to click on the letter that the code begins with to get a list of airports that start with that letter.

PHL.
Thank G-d for Global Entry! Worth every penny, even if paying $100.  Saved over an hour of line waiting twice --- plus less questioning, etc... Smooth, quick, and simple.

How is?

I got a regular room but recently refurbished according to the staff.

No complaints here. It's nice, staff is nice. I'll know after I experience it for the next two days. But so far seems like a made a good choice.

Is it a shabbos-friendly place (accessible stair wells, manual doors, etc)?

Hotel is good for Shabbat. No sensors. Staircases do not have locks on them and the highest floor is 9. Lounge is on 8. And about a 3-4 min walk to the WMA Shul

I stayed for shabbos. Had to walk through the kitchen to access the steps. Other than that really easy from a shabbos perspective

Waiting for the plane to be jump-started.
That doesn't sound too comforting...

What's so bad about a plane needing a jump to get started? There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

I thought they all did this.

The following is excerpted from Patrick Smith's excellent book "Cockpit Confidential", page 9. I've highlighted the important parts in red:

Quote
I notice a hole up under the tail that emits some kind of exhaust. What is this?

That’s the APU (auxiliary power unit), a small jet engine used to supply electricity and air conditioning when the main engines aren’t running, or to supplement them when they are. All modern airliners have an APU, and it is typically located in the rear fuselage under the tail. If you’re boarding through the old style airstairs and notice a hissing, jet-like noise similar to the sound of ten thousand hairdryers, that’s the APU.

It also provides high-pressure air for starting the main engines. The internal batteries on larger planes aren’t powerful enough to initially rotate an engine’s compressors. Instead they are spun by air plumbed from the APU. The first commercial jetliner with an APU as standard equipment was the Boeing 727, which debuted in 1964. Prior to that, an external air source, referred to as an “air cart” or “huffer,” would be hooked into the plane’s pneumatic ducting. You might see one of these carts today on occasions when a plane is dispatched with its APU inoperative, used to get the first engine going. The running engine then becomes the air source for the remaining engine(s).

Most turboprops are started electrically rather than pneumatically. If there’s no APU and ship’s batteries aren’t sufficient, something called a GPU (ground power unit) provides the juice. Towed behind a small tractor, the GPU looks like one of those generators used at roadside construction sites.

So "jump-starting" a turboprop is quite normal. As for a jet, if the APU won't start and and a "huffer" is not available, an external power cable can be used to jump-start the APU. Once it's up and running, the main engines can be started up normally by the APU, as if there was never any problem.
