Probably too far up for that, waters are frozen solid. ( I actually once watched on a BBC series an Alaskan lake in mid winter with a thermal hot spring and it attracted lots of Bald Eagles for fishing there)

I just came back from the grocery and honestly it wasn't that bad. Certain things were insane (like those $11 Tostitos), but strawberries (in Feburary!) were cheaper than my local grocery in the summer.

Sure it's expensive overall, but the prices were quite similar to what I would pay in Iceland, for instance.

I had the supervisor check baggage for me at 20 minutes past cutoff on Feb 6th. Regular rep declined to do it, I asked for a supervisor and he gladly did it, though noting it might not make it onto my flight and might arrive a day late. It made the flight.
