The same way you live in NJ in the winter. You go from your heated house to your heated car, to your heated office and the heated store, to your heated shul, and then back to your heated house. The only difference is I'm not lugging around a heavy coat which makes me uncomfortably warm in all those heated places.
For me this is hogwash. The second you step foot outdoors into a FL summer, it knocks you out. It's not just about discomfort, it's a physically draining experience that takes a little while to recover and reacclimate from - even if it is just a short walk. Even a polar vortex doesn't do that to you. Yes, it's cold, but it doesn't wipe you out in that way. And you can wear layers and mitigate the cold, whereas with the heat, even if everyone dressed like it was pre-cheit, it still wouldn't really help.
