Yes. I kept checking for an upgrade, and it opened up briefly five days before departure. I hesitated and didn’t book it (don’t ask me why—I was debating if it was worth it), and then it disappeared. I tried using the auto-upgrade option, but it wouldn’t allow me to select it.

I even reached out a few times over Twitter, but they kept telling me there was no availability. Then at check-in, while in the Emirates lounge, I asked again, and the agent offered a cash or points upgrade. He mentioned that only 6 out of the 14 first-class seats were actually booked. He also warned me that the kosher meal would still be from business class, not first, but I said that was fine and asked him to transfer it.

Nice, do you think it was worth it? Was it the same amount of miles to upgrade in the lounge?

Sala VIP El Dorado Lounge, BOG airport.

Came here because they're the only PP lounge with a shower - but it'll cost you 19 bucks for the privilege. You'd think you'd actually get a decent shower room now that they're charging for something everyone else gives for free, but haha lol. Dark, dreary, the shower head hanging crooked half out of the ceiling, and - a first for me - absolutely nowhere to sit. The toilet doesn't even have a cover.

At least they classed it up with a nice little sign warning you that your shower has a 10-minute limit.

Ummm, I think that bath faucet you see at your waist level is really the shower for the regular folks. You've been using the sprinkler system!
