I need some help for the hotels.

I'm going from Sunday night to Thursday night.

I plan on doing 2 full days in Vancouver, then the next morning drive to Whistler, stay the night in Whistler and head back some time the next day.

I have right now Sunday and Monday night in The WB, but the hotel is sold out the following night.

Is it worth it to change hotels for the one night or hope a room will open up (right now there is no rooms available at all) or stay at the Regency all 3 nights.

When are you going? ie. how far away is the trip?

Using points/cash?

A month and a half.

Almost every night is available, besides that night.

I spoke to the hotel, there is some kind of event going on that night.

One night is C&P and the other is just points.

@tzfas What sea plane tour did you do, to see what?
The tour we took was just around the harbour for about 20 min. You can take a sea plane to whistler or other areas spend the day there and go back with them. There seems to be one company that runs all the sea planes in Vancouver I think it was Harbour air. http://www.harbour-air.com/index.php

Are revenue rates available?

I was going to say wait, but if there is an event there, it may not open up.

They put me down for wait list, but that would technically be for revenue and then I would need a way to switch it.

Assuming I can't get the the third night in the WB. What do you suggest?

Forgive me for clarifying. Some people round these parts are... ambiguous.

At this point is reserve whatever I can at WB and ALSO HR and wait for it to open.

No Problem.

The problem is if I am going the HR route, then I would probably be booking out of someone else's account and don't want to go through the whole hassle/transferring points etc. if it is not definite .

Except you're not "for sure not staying there."
