by far the highlight of my visit to Vancouver was renting bikes at Spokes and riding around Stanely park and out to the seawall, took about 2 hours. The park is massive, no way to see it all on foot unless ur a long distance runner. I also really liked the vandusen gardens, which are much better than the Elizabeth gardens and worth the $8CAD entrance fee. Or skip the gardens and do the capilano suspension bridge. I went to the Lynn park suspension bridge bc it was free, bridge itself was kinda small, I heard capilano has many more.

+1 I did lynn park and was a little underwhelmed. If you can, go up to grouse mountain

I am going to be in Vancouver this summer from a Wednesday evening until thursday night (one day). I am looking to stay in a nice hotel that will allow me to do the most while I am there (preferable using points).

Additionally, if anyone know of one night activity and two sights to see during the day then that would be incredible.

Any help would be great.

Get the Chase Fairmont credit card for two free nights at any Fairmont.  The Fairmont Pacific Rim is the best hotel in Vancouver and the location is perfect.  You say you will be there only one night so you can have another night at a different location.   Either way, it's a free night at the best hotel.   To do:  walks thru Stanley Park, Capitano Suspension Bridge (there is a free shuttle from downtown to take you there and back), Fly Over Canada attraction at Canada Place, Thai massage (or regular massage) at Smile Thai Wellness, there is an aquarium in Stanley Park if that interests you, shopping.....the US$ is very strong compared to the Canadian $.  Walk the seawall, gastown, Robson street.  Great walking city

Most likely rainy and on the chilly/cold side - but weather has become more and more unpredictable.
I like late May till late September Vancouver weather best.

That is where I was going to stay, are there nice views? My wife is just a tad picky for "beautiful" hotels. Would you classify it as one?

Thank you. I am going to take a look at the Fairmont, not sure if it is worth the Credit pull for one night but perhaps I would include in my next round of apps.

What time of year was this picture taken in? the weather looks gorgeous!
According to accu weather forecast Feb is supposed to be dreary and cold.
Can anyone confirm Vancouver weather in the Feb? is it worth it?

Agreed, unless you enjoy cold, damp, dreary, rainy weather.
Recommend June-Sept.

Not everyone wants to spend $38/person when there's a free option.

I'd hope the free version wouldn't compare to the $38 version or else they'd have no customers...
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

The St. Regis in Vancouver isn't listed on SPG.com. Is it a nice hotel? It's just 120 a night.
I like vanilla but my name is Venilla.
