I don't think CX allows any infant seat in J.  In Y/F it's front facing only.

We only had a rear-facing seat so we used lots of pillows to keep him on sleeping on the bed. It was a bit nerve-racking but worked out OK.

as per http://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_HK/travel-information/special-assistance/children-and-infants/infants.html seems you can use a CRS but i dont know what it is
It's a CX provided seat, you need to reserve it, just read that link.
Your child won't sleep in it, it looks fairly terrible.

What should I do for a 3 month old?

I think I'm going to do F with no additional infant seat.

I don't think it's worth getting a seat (besides trying to find 3 seats available) for a 3 month old.

Any better ideas or suggestions?

Depends on your thoughts on co-sleeping.
The F seats are definitely big enough for it.

That's what I am thinking.

The way there I have already 2 in F.

On the way back I would do 3 in J or again 2 in F or 3 in F if 3 open for my dates, but probably won't happen.

Couple questions-
I called CX and asked if they could order me a kosher meal in the BA lounge of JFK and they said they have no way to contact the BA lounge is there any way to do this in advance or basically try your luck?
I am landing on Tues night and I will be there until Monday night- do I have enough time to see Vancouver and Whistler, do I go to Victoria or Vanouver Island- or do I just stay in Vancouver proper?
Last question for now- can I save Stanley Park for Shabbos afternoon, we are big walkers so I don't think I would have a problem walking most of the park?

I bailed before they started but they definitely brought out a challah board which was covered and with a challah cover and looked like they had challahs underneath
I would do Whistler Wed-Thu and Vancouver Fri-Monday, and if you are very outdoorsy, I would even do Wed-Fri in Whistler

For anyone wishing to go to Stanley Park on Shabbos, once you enter the park, there is no Yishuv any more.  therefore you would only be able to walk 2,000 Amos.  If you made an eruv Techumin, you would be able to walk an additional 2000 Amos.
I am going to be in the Vancouver Fairmont Pacific Rim next week from July 3rd to July 7th.  Anyone on this forum going to be there ?
