Looking for a Flash for Canon DSLR camera

The camera is a Canon EOS 20D.  Please recommend based on experience or knowledge of the product.

Thank you.  In comparing them, they are pretty close.  One difference I noticed was that for Coverage the 430 EX goes up to 50mm while the 580 EX goes up to 155 mm.  I am no expert, is this such a big difference?

It depends on your use. Also one has wireless & the other doesnt.
