Don't have the time to do NZ.  Thinking of 3 nights in SIN and 2 nights anywhere nearby with kosher food, which is why SGN came to mind. Have a better suggestion?

I don't think I've ever been parts of Asia where you haven't, but I've heard Siem Reap, Cambodia is very interesting.


As far as hotels, I don't think being far from chabad is such an issue, I doubt theres anything going on there during the week anyway. I personally prefer city to beach but that just depends what you're looking for.

Yes, I tried, even payed for a visa but didn't work out for some reason.

You can check out Taipei. Awesome W hotel. Hard to find info re the kosher food but theres a member here who knows.

If you've never been to Shanghai that's definitely a must. Whatever you do, do not order tuna sushi at chabad there.

What went wrong with the Visa?
Shanghai is too cold in the winter.

Currently ticketed with 120K UA (CLE-EWR-SIN-MLE-SIN-EWR-CLE) in SQ J.
MLE hotels are all pretty booked up though already, so looking at alternatives to MLE.

Worth cancelling the SIN return to try something new? Recommendation?

I've never taken it but people don't really like that flight J is J and its a very long flight.

Maybe go to Korea and take the Korean A380 home? or you can try getting the BR lie flat to JFK or CZ A380 First via LAX.

Great city... you'll need to get a visa on arrival (need to apply in advance online then pay some more on arrival for them to stamp your passport)

I stayed in the Sheraton, but Hyatt seemed very nice...  The city is lots of fun... if you have questions I can try and answer..

i went to siem reap this year
there is a restaurent the owner is a israeli called KOBI very nice guy every thing that he does is kosher but we cant know what he made in is kitchen before
but across a street from him there is two big supermarket when you could find allot of kosher items OU-STAR K....

in siem reap the main thing is Angkors (=the temples)
i also went to the floating village very nice also
