You need a .prc file to install it on a palm.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Ok, so here are the instructions:
First make sure that you have a file manager that can read zip files. I would recommend Resco Explorer (just google resco explorer palm) it gives you a free 2 week trial (which btw can be reset if you know how to do these things).
Next you will need to download IBM virtual machine, this used to be licensed to palm and they offered it, but they no longer license it. You can download it here:  https://www.yousendit.com/download/YWhPYnUxaTErV3cwTVE9PQ (limited downloads I think 10 total).
Next you open the file in resco explorer, go to this folder :\WEME572.zip\PalmOS JVM 5.7.2\JVM\ARM4T and install the following files to RAM:
JavaVMCheck_enUS.prc, j9pref.prc and J9JavaVMMidp20.prc
Now try running Opera Mini I personally have found some versions to be more stable than others. One rule when using Opera on a Palm OS: Do not press anything while the progress bar is going IT WILL FREEZE!!!

Good Luck!!  :D :D :D

Don't really use it, but Chatopus is popular.
You can even use it to see invisible users who are hiding!

Pretty crazy that I'm posting in a thread that has been inactive for over 3 years.

It just so happens that I just activated a Centro on my wife's line ($30 Sero), its her first smartphone. The last Palm I owned was a monochrome display PalmV, so I guess you could say I'm doing a little bit of catching up here 3 years too late.
The problem is, it appears a lot of the software links, etc, are so outdated that I can't even find the PRCs to install anymore!
Does anyone out there have a library of useful apps archived away somewhere?

I originally started a new topic to discuss Palm OS in the modern era (can be found here: http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=34742.0 ). Especially after the forum gave me the following warning when typing this:

Warning: this topic has not been posted in for at least 180 days.
Unless you're sure you want to reply, please consider starting a new topic.
But I'm starting to wonder if I'm the only one out there trying to breathe life into an OS that has been long left for dead.

My apologies for this unsanctioned act of t'chiyas hameisim on a thread, but I'm hoping some of you who posted here in the past are subscribed to this and will be notified of my plea for help! :)
