I love palmPDF. It views them in native format, and works better than Adobe's.

like I said, USBModem is the way to go to make the palm centro act as a modem.

Funny, my friend with a PPC-6700 only has the $15 plan, and his wife has it on her moto Q for $7 (addtl. users on family plan pay half). My other die-hard sprint fan friends who all have TREOs also only pay $15 for data.

I'll admit I'm not well versed on all the "normal" price plans for Sprint, but I don't know anyone who's paid $30 for data with them.
As far as I can recall, the difference between Power Vision Packs were all regarding extra subscription services, such as sprint TV and Sprint Navigation. If you wanted straight data, without subscribing to carrier services, its straight up $15.

The only phone that is an exception to this rule is the new Instinct by Samsung. The reason for this is that the Instinct requires some special services for some features to work (such as visual voice mail ala iPhone).

Unless Sprint recently changed something that I'm not aware of... got a link to back any of this info up?

pushy sales people... you don't NEED the pro pack, but they're all trained to shove it down your throat for bigger commissions.

Nice, Berel. Kudos on creating a PROPERLY TITLED thread with relevant info on the subject!
Maybe folks who posted in that vague "how to do stuff with your phone" thread should repost relevant info here to keep the board clean and efficient.

Also, I'm with dan on USBModem over PDAnet - PDAnet has been around longer so its more well known, but I'd def. give USBModem a try, I think its a more solid application.

Then again, I don't use any of these anymore... my current phone supports WiFi and I have an app that channels the data connection out to an ad-hoc network, effectively making my phone a portable WiFi router. I can then tether any number of devices to my hearts content just like I could with a real access point. Its really useful for devices that you can't normally tether to (PSPs, WiFi skype handsets, random laptops, etc).

can i make my phone a portable WiFi router with a centro sprint if not then how

search for a torrent for it. If you don't find it, look in Opera Mini's forum. If you don't find a post with the link, find the thread about it and request it there. Someone there will PM you a link.

No, not with the Centro. You'll need a more capable device than Palm OS, and WiFi.

I also have it on my home computer. If their forum doesn't help, I can try to get it to you, but it would take a few days for me to be able to.
