I've had my SPG personal CL increased by Amex without notifying me before hand, and there was no pull

He said it's a HP when they "invite" you to request an increase, you said that there was no HP when they "automatically" increased your CL.

Amex i have heard is only a soft pull...
Sometimes. They first look at your history with them, if it's insufficient they pull the CR.
Same for Discover.
