STOPOVERS ON MILES
« on: February 18, 2010, 09:53:02 PM »
Hey guys,
What airlines allow stopovers on a one way award ticket?
What about for a short time like a wedding? (i.e. JFK-LAX-MIA on AA for a wedding in LA)
What about round-trip with a longer stopover? (i.e. JFK-LAX and LAX-JFK stopping in MIA for Pesach)
Thanks

AA only offers stopovers in the North American gateway city on international tickets.

I'm not sure if any US program allow for domestic stopovers at the regular rate.  I know Continental offers it for 35K, but no one-way is available.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Using advantage with different cariers as long as you dont pass 24 hours you are okay to make stops.

but I highly doubt a Carrier will allow a routing such as JFK-LAX-MIA-JFK. They usually want it to be a direct routing also there is a max # of miles that can be done. And the only way I know of even if LAX-MIA-JFK is allowed is if you arrive in MIA after all the flights to JFK have departed and they will put you on the 1st flight out the next morning.

But Ive heard people have gotten away with stranger things, so it cant hurt to ask but I would count on it

I knew what You were saying, only its frustraring not to beable to go in and correct something that I posted, or to clarify it.

I hope if Dan gets a someone to work on his site and finds a new home base for it that a Modify button can be attached so that a person can modify their post Anytime they are logged in
