I made Nutella Croissants on Sunday. So easy just 2 ingredients it's the perfect thing to break a fast on.

Puff pastry. They can be repeated, but they're excellent at room temperature. They still taste excellent a few days old. Oh, and they're traditionally served with powdered sugar over the top.

I was once in a Jewish Chabad center in the far East for a fast. The Asian worker was very concerned and started giving me advice about what to eat first, what not to eat etc. I said "lady, we do this 6 times a year, I know how to do this on my own".
I guess Muslims are entitled to some sort of opinion on fasting, do Catholics have any "fast days?"

Judging by your suggestion, I'd assume not.

Today, Babkallah, a sort of braided chocolate cinnamon babka. While wheat dill bread, and lentil soup. All homemade.

The rules regarding this have changed over the years. Catholics do fast but not in the same sense you are talking. A better term for your fast would be "absolute fast".
