Just a disclosure, We went to Moorea not bora bora, from the research we did it seems moorea is less busy (less tourists) cheaper overall, and more relaxed. I am sure there will be some who will disagree however I am very happy with our choice and this way we have a reason to come back.

Here are some more pics

This one is panoramic, so you can enjoy it best by downloading and zooming

A promotion popped up on my SPG app claiming to offer 50% Hawaii and French Polynesia. I looked up the St. Regis Bora Bora for July and it's available for 62,500 XPF ($583) which is cheaper than the Le Meridian. The code is SPG50PRO but doesn't seem to work on the regular SPG search. To access, go to "Special Offers" in your app and click on the "Full view. Half off" promotion.

How much time do I need for a connection in PPT to Air Tahiti? Looking at a flight that gets in a 4:40 PM and want to try and make a 5:45 VT flight-possible or way too close...

Officially the MCT is 90 min, but I would prob take the risk

If customs is still "out of order" like it was with us, there's no way you could make the flight unless you're the first one off the plane.

Yeah that's what I'm worried about. And VT specifically says they won't really help you out if you don't follow the min connection times, and it's the last flight of the day. Ugg...

How long ago was that?

Anyone successfully made it from NZ to PPT without overnighting in PPT? Seems almost impossible without the risk of missing the flight...

Last week.

PPT airport is officially under renovation, but it didn't seem to affect waiting times.

I'd risk it. Assuming you are flying J just make sure you are the first off the plane and if there is a line, figure things out :)

Was more than 45 mins for us. Probably closer to 60. And that's just passport control. Not getting bags, going to VT desk, checking in, going through (light)  security etc.

And if the baggae takes a while. Leave it and say you forgot it and they'll send it in the AM

Maybe there is a "VIP Service" there?

I'd probably also risk it, but if the international flight is even 20-30 mins late, he's stuck.

Where are you arriving from?

Assuming its AKL the flight lands on-time 100% of the time according to EF
