Do the IHG properties ever become available (reward nights)? I search almost on a nightly basis and I don't find anything.

Last minute usually.   Within 2 weeks of travel because thats when all the free cancellations come pouring in

Thanks. And I would guess that's precisely when award flights are not available? :-\

If you're flexible this is a good strategy but if you're on a specific timeline I wouldn't count on this. None of the Ihg properties I wanted came available after 6 mo of watching, literally not one night change within two weeks. I don't know if they've changed their releasing of awards in the last few months at these properties in particular.

Also just for everyone else I'd say Moorea isn't worth it-go BOB or go home

Really? Recently I've been reading wonderful things about MOZ.

No better than Hawaii, and without any of comforts. Also the scenery really didn't blow me away there- it was nice, and if you're in the area maybe, but not worth going all the way out to FP just for MOZ.

That being said I don't know that BOB is that much better having not made it there myself, but it sure seems like it.

Also maybe things are different at the Hilton there but the IHG get like a run of the mill resort just looking to shuttle honeymooners in and out with no personalized touch. MLE felt like the exact opposite. Hopefully I'll write a TR soon

+1 as have I.  Do the people on this forum( besides Israel guy of course) think its worth going to moorea or BOB or bust?
I'm very limited with dates and award availability at bora bora is scarce.
TIA

I can't imagine traveling all the way to PPT and not going to BOB. I don't care how pretty MOZ purports to be.

Not worth the schlep. Moorea is a good as an add-on if you can't get all the nights u want at BOB

If I can only go once (in my lifetime) to BOB and this coming summer I can likely piece together (already started) a stay at the IHG Le moana but definitely not the Thalasso, is it worth it to go this summer or better to try and wait till I can get a stay at the Thalasso being that it seems like the much better option?
TIA for your opinions.

If you're going once, do it right. LM is nice, but it doesn't compare to Thalasso. Rooms are nicer, service is better, view is better. See my TR. (Yes, yes, I know, I'm in the middle.)

How does one get award nights at thalasso these days? Even LM is almost fully booked for awards. I have 4 consecutive at LM in June/July which is practically impossible to find now...

Just an FYI - Le Moana has a ton of award availability in 2017. Books into a beach bungalow.

Is a 2 hour connection time enough in the airport, both directions?

Which airport
