I'd wait a bit to apply but if it comes back anytime soon you can always try to get matched.

My mother got matched from a 15,000 to a 20,000 recently but maybe that was a fluke.

Do people churn the SPG? Or is it too difficult so they just sign up for it once and then keep the card open ever year
