Figured. Only accounts with same names can be merged. Maybe that's what dan meant?

You both need to be named "Suzy" for instnce? With as many professional couples as there are (who I presume would apply for this card too) that seems ridiculous.
All typos are Apple's fault.

Really want to try and get the SPG while the bonus is 30k but not sure if i can get it with my score atm, amex hasn't updated the experian score but early august says it was 667, dunno how it went down 30 points in a month but seems too low to get an auto approval

According to Spg website and reps you would both need to be "Suzy smith" for instance

High credit utilization this past month perhaps?

Can someone help me out

Amex claimed that they couldn't shift CL from one card to another unless the card is a X amount of time, is that 6 months or a year?

Can't recall

TIA

DoC has an article
Quote
A credit card must have been opened for a minimum of 13 months before it’s possible to transfer the credit limit from that card.
A credit card should be at least 60 days old to transfer to that card.

Amex would not let me transfer credit from one card to another, unless the card I'm transferring from, was open more then a year.

Can I safely assume the above only applies to Amex?

I want to get a personal SPG card, but I'm worried about my credit score (around 665). Any advice?
Background: I applied for personal SPG card on mom's behalf approximately 6 years ago, and my entire family has been using that card as primary card since then. (We have been very good customers, and B'H' we have racked up a good amount of points). I graduated over one year ago and have been employed as an attorney since then. Over the past year, I paid off my college and law school loans. I also opened a Bank of America cash rewards card (my first credit card ever). I have a car note. My credit utilization is likely low because I have not sought to increase my available credit. I am now trying to become more savvy and would like to open up my own SPG card. I'm worried about the hard credit pull if I'm merely going to be rejected.

If you don't somehow build your credit then your score won't go up. How long have you had your BofA card?

Approximately 9 months. I just requested an increase in my credit limit from 5K to 15K and was immediately approved. Maybe I should have asked for more?

15k is fine. Too much credit on one card can be seen as a risk to banks. Spg isn't such a hard card to get approved for. Give it a whirl and report back

Thanks JM. I will give it a shot. I hope AMEX is interested in keeping my business and from going to another service. Any tips on what I can do to increase my chances? Should I try giving them a call or anything like that?

Yw. Just apply and see what happens. If you get a decision pending you can call recon for a faster decision

from the t&c in the press release

Sheraton Club lounge access is limited to the eligible Card Member and a guest staying in the same room for the duration of the stay, regardless of how many rooms have been reserved.

Most Club lounges require an activated, valid room key in order to enter (sometimes the Club Floor and) the Club Lounge.
