If I see the spg sign up bonus posted in my Amex account , does it make sense that the points have not yet posted in my spg account?
Yes. Takes a few days.

Had to wait 5 days since there was another CC in that round of apps, but it was auto approved on day 5.

My AF for the biz just posted for $65. Is that a mistake?
What can I expect retention wise? I've had a very decent amount of SPG spend on this card this year.

Thanx.

Just to clarify, I have a personal and biz. Personal charges me $95 but I've had it since 2008. Biz is charging $65. Obviously I think it's time to cancel the personal. I know Amex considers (and dates) all your cards to the original (2008), that true if I cancel the original? And this is true re credit reports?

What do you mean?
My cards say member since 08.
What will happen if I cancel my original 08 card with Amex?
(Direct me to the correct thread please)

What your cards say are irrelevant.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

What about the cards I have from before they stopped this retroactive rule?
Do they return to their "true" sign-up date? Or are they still considered 08'?

They're fine. They didn't change the dates.

Date? I'm paying an AF now so the exact date makes a difference.
Thank you.

Check your credit report for account opening date.

I applied for the SPG personal and business card on March 2nd. I checked my credit report and it shows 2 inquires 1 on March 2nd and 2nd on March 3rd. i called first Experian they advised the only one who can remove it is Amex. i called amex and was transferred from one department to another and no success there. tried to Huca that didn't help either.. Any one with other ideas on how to get the 2 pulls merged?
