This is going to be very embarrassing

Last yr (I was a total noob) I signed up for the SPG pers & biz, but didn't make the spending threshold for both cards in time.

Now, I tried HUCAing a few times, but the max they were willing to offer is 5k starpoints.

Is there anything I can do?

We're dealing w/ 30k starpoints

I'm surprised they're willing to give you anything.

I've been on this forum for years and you, sir, just taught me something new today!

You have nothing to be embarrassed of.

Try and figure it out.
That you can change the font size? I'm stumped here.

When do SPG points post? More specifically, if I spend and pay the bill before the statement closes, will the points post? Or does the statement need to close first? Thanks.

The points will post even if you pay the bill before the statement closes.
The points post to the spg account a few days after the statement closes, iirc. But it doesn't matter when you pay your bill, you'll get your points.

Thanks for replying. I know I'll get the points; the question is when. If I understand you correctly, they will not post to SPG until the statement closes, correct?
I realize that my question was not entirely clear.

Just got hit with the AF, any point in keeping this card if I have the SPG business as well? If no then ask Amex to transfer the CL to my other consumer Amex card? (Im assuming I cant transfer it to my business line of credit)?
TY

No.
Yes, but they have obscured rules when reallocating credit. Cards need to be open for more then 13 months etc.
Cannot transfer from personal to Biz.

Cards plural? Both cards need to be open for 13 months?

My wife and I both got Starwood consumer cards for the signup bonus earlier this year but I found that we hardly use them and can't rationalize two AF's. Planning to cancel at least one.
Any reason to keep the other? Seems to me that 1 point on all purchases ain't much of a benefit, or am I missing the value of this card?
