My wife and I both got Starwood consumer cards for the signup bonus earlier this year but I found that we hardly use them and can't rationalize two AF's. Planning to cancel at least one.
Any reason to keep the other? Seems to me that 1 point on all purchases ain't much of a benefit, or am I missing the value of this card?
Depends what you use the points for. If you stay at cheap hotels you could easily get 2.5 cents a point. Ask for a retention offer.

As well, Amex offers can help negate the AF. The amex offers in the last 2 months alone offset it for me. But definitely ask for retention offer.

Just got hit with the AF, any point in keeping this card if I have the SPG business as well? If no then ask Amex to transfer the CL to my other consumer Amex card? (Im assuming I cant transfer it to my business line of credit)?
TY
No.
Yes, but they have obscured rules when reallocating credit. Cards need to be open for more then 13 months etc.
Cannot transfer from personal to Biz.
Just saw this. You can transfer from personal to business with Amex.

Is there a way to see how many points was earned for each purchase? On SPG it shows daily how many points are transferred but does not say for which purchase. I am lately showing deductions quite often on SPG yet I haven't made any returns.
I.E 207 points AMex spend yet on the same date showing a deduction of 207 Amex spend.

SPG tells me to call AMex.  AMex tells me that cant see SPG and don't know what that is

Please report back if you figure it out. Since the 2X points by small businesses promo nearly every day there's deductions and additions.

Just checked my account, only see 3 deductions, so I'm not too worried. But I am curious what's going on

I am thinking of taking advantage of the offer to transfer 90k starwood points for 125k united and 7 nights at a marriott..
2 questions:
1) is it any marriott or it has to be below a certain class level?
2) if i wanted to stay at 1 marriott for 4 nights and the next one for 3 would they allow that or has to be spent at same place?

thank you all for your help!

33 days after AF, anyway to still get refunded if I cancel the card. Amex doesn't want to budge. Any workarounds?

can be any category... just need more marriot points to get same amount of miles for above cat 5. also, you can do 5 nights instead of 7 for less marriot points (still same amount of miles).

The customer service for this card is absolutely horrible. Needed to speak with 3 reps to resolve a simple  $20 dispute. Each rep gave completely contradictory information about dates,  resolution of the dispute, etc. Asked for a bonus credit for good will for the trouble and they refused. Frustrating.
